Port Kembla Festival is known for its vibrant mix of music, creativity and community, transforming Wentworth Street into an all-day exploration of sound, art and culture.
Yoga Jam offers a unique way to experience the festival — not just as a spectator, but through movement, breath and embodied creativity.
Led by yoga teacher Cat and accompanied by flamenco jazz guitarist Brody Blackman, this special session blends a gentle yoga flow with improvised live music. The result is a dynamic and immersive experience where the rhythm of the guitar guides the rhythm of the body.
Yoga Jam has been part of Port Kembla Festival since its early years, growing alongside the event and offering festival-goers a moment to slow down, connect and tune into themselves before the evening festivities begin.
The session is accessible for all levels, including complete beginners.
You don’t need to be a yogi or musician — just bring curiosity and an open mind.
"Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life."
