Sound of Yin

  • The Pantha Way 45 Wentworth Street Port Kembla Australia (map)

Body first. Then sound.

Most sound baths ask a busy body to lie still and hope the mind follows. Sound of Yin does it the other way round.

We begin with long, supported yin shapes that soften the body and release tension, slowly and gently. Once your body has let go, the crystal bowls begin. The sound has nowhere to bounce off, so it lands deeper.

The result is the kind of rest you can't get from lying on the couch: a quiet mind, a softer body and the best sleep you've had all month.

What to expect

  • Dreamy ambient light, a sensory journey held upon our earthy sacred floors

  • Bolsters, blankets, eye pillows. Support everywhere

  • Gentle yin shapes held on the floor, fully guided

  • An immersive crystal bowl sound bath journey

  • Invitation to completely let go & experience complete rejuvenation for 75 mins

No experience with yoga, meditation or sound experiences is needed.

Is it for me?

If you just want your Friday night back, definitely start here.

No experience needed. No flexibility required. No need to be musical. No understanding of yoga philosophy. We guide everything; you simply allow.

What people leave with

Calm. Lightness. A clearer head. A body that feels less tense. Better sleep that night, and a bit more patience for the people you love the next day. Sometimes something unexpected surfaces in the stillness, and that's welcome too. Always grounded.

Make it a ritual

Sound of Yin runs on the last Friday of every month. Come once and you'll feel it. Come every month and you'll notice the difference in how you close one month and open the next.

FAQ

What's yin yoga?
A slow, floor-based practice where you rest in supported shapes for a few minutes at a time. It gently works the deeper tissues of the body and teaches the nervous system to slow down.

What's a crystal bowl sound bath?
You lie down, get cosy, and listen as frosted quartz crystal bowls are played around the room. The tones are long and layered, and most people find their thoughts slow right down.

How is this different to other sound baths?
Your body is prepared first. By the time the bowls begin, the fidgets and tension have been released, so you can drop in rather than wait to relax.

I'm not flexible. Can I still come?
Yes. Every shape is supported with props, and there's no "full expression" to reach. If it feels like rest, you're doing it right.

I'm pregnant or have an injury. Is it OK? Most people can join with a few adjustments. Let us know when you book or arrive and we'll set you up with the right support.

Do I need to bring anything?
We provide everything you need for your experience, however some students who own their own yoga mats, blankets, pillows, eye masks sometimes like to use their own. You are free to use studio or BYO

How much is it? Free for members. $39 drop-in.
