The colder months naturally invite slower mornings, earlier nights and more rest but modern life often doesn’t take into account the natural rhythms of nature that exist within us, we are not separate from nature.
Sound of Yin was created as a monthly ritual to meet that in-between space.
This 75-minute experience combines slow, supported Yin Yoga with immersive crystal sound bowls to help your body soften, your mind slow down and your nervous system settle.
The Yin portion uses long-held, comfortable shapes supported by props to gently release physical tension and create stillness in the body. Then the crystal bowls begin.
Sound works differently than we often expect. Rather than needing to “do” anything, the body receives. Research into sound-based relaxation practices suggests immersive sound experiences may support reduced stress, improved mood and states associated with deep relaxation and meditation.
Translation? You get permission to stop trying for a minute (or 75 in this case).
Winter is an ideal season for practices like this, helping balance busy schedules, restore energy and create moments of genuine rest before exhaustion forces the issue.
