Community Yoga Special Edition: Nan Tien International Women's Day 2024 Charity Meditation Fundraiser

By participating in this initiative, you are not only supporting local women through Illawarra Women's Health Centre but also contributing to the wider community and to the global objectives aimed at creating a more sustainable and equitable world in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

You will experience:

  • The resonating sounds of the Buddhist blessing chants for all women  

  • Community at the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere

Event Details:

Temple Gate open at 8.45am.
Registration at 9.00am for a 9.30am start
Finish approx. 12.15pm

Guided tour (optional). Bookings essential.

This event includes:

  • Guided Tai Chi

  • Guided Meditation

  • Blessing for Women (Chanting and Prayer)

  • Talk from a resident monastic - Buddhist Perspective on Wealth

  • Presentation of a cheque to Illawarra Women's Health Centre

  • 'Unlocking Wealth Wisdom: Count Me in' Workshop

Bring a water bottle and sunhat for the Tai Chi. This is an all-weather event, with indoor facilities available in case of weather changes. Chairs will be provided as an alternative to a sitting meditation.
